This annual RVBA Affiliated tournament has been run for the past forty years.
Sponsored by the Bendigo Bank the tournament is open to all RVBA Affiliated bowlers residing outside a radius of 10km from the Bendigo Post Office. For the 700 participants the event provides great competition and friendly fellowship with many bowlers returning year after year. Some clubs make this an annual week's excursion entering multiple teams and travelling to Bendigo By mini bus. Why don't you do the same? Many bowlers' partners also enjoy the opportunity the week provides to do some shopping and renew acquaintances fro previous years.
The event is based at the Bendigo Bowls Club. Thirteen neighbouring clubs make available 27 first class free-running greens for a week of challenging bowls. The Bendigo Bank Pairs is played on Monday and Tuesday with finals played on the Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. The Bendigo Bank Fours is played on Wednesday and Thursday with the finals played at Bendigo Bowls Club on Thursday evening. But wait there's more. The APIA Pot of Gold will be available again for the best individual winning game in sectional play in both the Pairs and Fours. And again there will be $1200 up for grabs, $400 in the Pairs and $800 in the Fours.
The Bendigo Motels Association is sponsoring a FREE fours event on Friday to be held at the Bendigo Bowls Club.
